Field of Broken Dreams documents one season in the lower depths of Bradford's football leagues. The glamour of the English Premier league is far away from here as gladiatorial battles are often fought in freezing temperatures on muddy pitches by brave local warriors. Alcohol and spliffs are the refreshments of choice.
British documentary photographer Peter Dench has written the foreword. He states "it is more Maxim Gorky than Mary Poppins."
